Open the official item page
Tap the item → confirm the creator is Roblox or a known UGC seller you trust. Real limiteds show Limited / Limited U status and trade history patterns. Random “free” mirrors on odd domains are not the catalog.

Compare price and tradeability
A “Korblox” lookalike selling for pocket Robux is almost certainly UGC cosplay, not the limited package. If it is not marked Limited and is not tradeable as a limited, it will not hold limited value.

Understand avatar “tricks”
Layering, body scales, and free classic shirts can approximate a vibe without owning the limited. That is fine cosplay. It is not the same as owning Headless, Korblox, or other high-value limiteds for trading.

Reject cookie and inspector “unlocks”
Any tutorial that asks you to paste .ROBLOSECURITY, run a browser exploit, or install an unknown extension to “apply” a limited is account theft. Close the tab.
Tips
- Check the item ID in the Roblox URL — scammers clone thumbnails on different IDs.
- For in-game pets/knives, buy through trusted shops or peer trades you control — not “limited unlock” sites.

- Are UGC copies illegal?
- UGC that merely looks similar is common on Roblox. Passing a copy off as a real limited in a trade, or stealing accounts to “gift” limiteds, is the scam — not owning a cheap lookalike shirt.
- Can I trade a fake limited for real value?
- Other traders price real limiteds. A non-limited lookalike will not clear limited value lists — and trying to deceive buyers can get you reported.
